Install OpenFileConverter on any device
One app, zero stores required. The installed app runs the conversion engine locally in your browser (WebAssembly), works offline for supported formats, and never uploads your files for client-side conversions.
The install button appears once your browser supports one-tap install, or use the manual steps below.
Android (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet)
- Open openfileconverter.com.
- Tap the Install App button above, or the browser menu … → Add to Home screen / Install app.
- Launch OpenFileConverter from your home screen. It runs full-screen and offline-capable.
iOS / iPadOS (Safari)
- Open openfileconverter.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button, then scroll to Add to Home Screen.
- Launch OpenFileConverter from your home screen.
Windows / macOS / Linux / ChromeOS
- Click the Install App button above, or the install icon in your browser's address bar.
- The app opens in its own window, pinned to your dock or taskbar.
Converted file downloads
Finished conversions download straight to your device's default downloads folder (or ask where to save, depending on your browser settings). Client-side conversions save the real output bytes produced on your machine — nothing is uploaded, nothing is retained.
Zero file retention: output files live only in your browser memory until you save them.
